One year ago today....

Some say I 'm crazy, some say I 'm weird, creepy, delusional, obsessed, and some call me a wanna be stalker, but that does not stop my love for the late Patrick Swayze! One year ago today he past away from an evil evil monster known as pancreatic cancer. He was 56 years old.
I call him my celebrity soul mate. He loved all the same things I loved. Plus he was the most handsome, sexy, caring, inspirational, outgoing, interesting, talented and free spirited man on earth. My heart has a small hole in it now that he is gone.

I still have troubles watching Dirty Dancing, which I know the whole movie by heart.
I started watching Dirty Dancing probably when I was about 5. I can't even count how many times Patrick and I have shared that 1 hour and 40 minutes together. I still get butterflies in my stomach the moment he walks into Kellerman's and speaks the famous words to his love "No Body puts baby in the corner!"

My all time favorite quote of the movie is:
"Me? I'm scared of everything. I'm scared of what I saw, I'm scared of what I did, of who I am, and most of all I'm scared of walking out of this room and never feeling the rest of my whole life the way I feel when I'm with you."

I truly feel that way about my husband- whom which I may remind you if you haven't noticed yet looks a lot like Johnny Castle (Patrick), he refuses to see it! Ever since I was a young girl I have always based my future husband by Patrick Swayze ways. I got what I wanted!
Check out the comparison... come on.. you can't tell me they don't look alike!!!

Here are just a few of my Favorite pics of Patrick....

Summer is coming to an end .....

AND it has gone by fast, let me tell you! I am completely not ready for summer to be over. I could use at least one more month.... or even 3!! We had a busy busy summer (as always)this year. As we get older our weekends getting more and more busy.
JUNE.....
I started a new job (still at the U) and it is going quite well. I am the Procurement specialist for the department of Medicine (Accounts Payable). I pay invoices and set up purchase orders for over 10 different divisions related to Medicine. I work 2 "cubes" down form my mom, so we still car pool everyday. My little sister turned the big 8!!! A few of my dad's old friends were kind enough to hoist a birthday party on their farm for her. It was a blast. She got a ton of presents and even had a pinata. Jack and I got her a new bike for the house, she absolutely loved it. My cousin Nick Graduated from the University of Minnesota and had a small gathering at his parents house. At the end of June we helped my dad move into a new apartment closer to us. It is working out great. Riley has made a lot of friends and gets to start a new school this year, hopefully some of her new friends will be in her class!

JULY.....
was busy with the 4th, Jack's 30th, a few cabin trips, and Jack's big brother Jim's wedding. Jim's wedding was small but very nice. Jack's birthday turned out fabulous. We still have all the luau decor up in our garage. That tells you how busy I actually have been! We ended July by saying goodbye to our good Friend Ryan Simonet (SIMO!). He is living in the Middle East Roth now, and was home for a month to visit. He returned in the beginning of August and we may not see him for 2 years. On July 30the he had a nice going away party at his dad's for all the family and friends. We miss him terribly! Also in July my big Brother moved home from San Diego. It is so nice to have him back in MN. He has missed out on so much that goes on here with the family, it is good to have him back for the festivities!

AUGUST.....
of course started out with MY 25th BIRTHDAY!!! We went to Osaka with mom and Fred and a few friends, then ended up at Brady's for a few beers. I took Tuesday off to recover from a slight hangover and spent the day with my good friend Tracy. We went to her grandma's for some fishing and golf carting- then picked up her puppy at the vet, he had to have a small bump removed from his leg... but he is fine... CANCER FREE!! Our good friends Krissy and Dennis came in town for a few days and stayed with us, that was great to see them. I also had Tracy's bachelorette party to attend, that was a butt load of fun!!In Mid August I had the Dachshund Dash(Wiener dog race) to attend. My cousin Kim hosts it every year. I am the MC for the event. This year the sound system didn't work so I had to yell the whole time, let's just say I was on the border of loosing my voice. We also had another going away party to go to ... my cousin Nick is going to ENGLAND for grad school and won't be back until Christmas. He had a nice BBQ at his parents house in Maple Grove. Jack didn't attend cause he had a bachelor party to go to. As the end of August comes up we had a wedding for my good friend Tracy. A few of my friends were in this wedding and it turned out GREAT. We had a great time. Tracy looked Gorgeous in her gown. To finish up August my BFF and I went to the Tim Mcgraw concert at the great MN Get Together! He was amazing.. I do believe he is the SEXIEST man alive!! Well maybe besides Jack!!!

Now we go into
SEPTEMBER.....
before we know it there will be SNOW on the ground and Santa will be gracing us with is presence or should I say presents! September is filled already... Friday (the 3rd) I am taking Mitter Fed to the Fair for our annual trip! I already have our route mapped out. I can wait to get my fix of FAIR FOOD! Labor day weekend hasn't been decided yet- we may go to Jack's moms or just stay home and close our doors and windows and do NOTHING!!! Then we have a happy hour date with my old supervisor from a previous job, then a wedding in Rochester which will be fun, we are sharing a hotel room with the Wrobels, after that weekend we are "free", then Fred and Natalie's birthday weekend is here, I am planning a SURPRISE dinner boat ride for Fred's 60th birthday. He has always wanted to go on one and I thought he would want one for his birthday!!! For Nattie's birthday this year we will probably just do a dinner and maybe some bowling.

And that my friends concludes our summer!! Hope you all had a great one and I will check in later!
